Do you think we’re shaped more by our experiences or by who we are?
This was the prompt passed to me, and as I sat for a moment, it dawned on me we are, but our experiences shape us; that is why an inner child exists.
In education, it is our innate sense that we are perfect, right, and able to conquer the world, but through daily experiences at home or in the classroom, our minds begin to shfit. Emotions such as rentment, envy, and jealousy are a few sentiments that push us towards an identity based on experience instead of self. This is self is essence, and when we lose this essence our direction becomes muffled and our voice becomes lost.
In life, the majority of adults live in their ego, protecting their inner child because that child still lives within. Once hurt by an experience that changed the way they present themselves, they come into the world ready for battle, and these experiences still grasp their essence. These same adults can be parents, and that is where emotions, strife, and frustration build.
As you begin to engage with your child, you will face the mirror of your wounds, childhood, and losses of dreams from along the way. There is no other way, but this is where you guage your healing and wounds, this is where development begins, and this is where families can change. Education is not only a tool to make money, but also to build better people through bonding.
When you are ready to evaluate your role as a parent or your child for who they can become, here is a gentle reminder that NADOL ACADEMY™ is here. Spanning over years and grades, support comes in a growth based approach from the inside out- reach out now.
